Conrad Clemson Bio

Conrad is a seasoned executive and leader in the cable and telecommunications industries.  Conrad has 20 years of experience as a technologist in a wide variety of hardware and software leadership opportunities.  Conrad was a key contributor to the architecture of the Broadbus B-1 solid state video server.  Conrad is respected as one of the technology leaders in video servers and video server architectures. 

Conrad is in the process of launching his next technology venture. This brings to a successful close a year long relationship with Charles River Ventures where Conrad has been an Entrepreneur in Residence.  In this role, Conrad's primary focus has been to develop a business plan and validation for his next venture.  Conrad also advised the partnership on technology areas, performed due diligence activities, and supported the firm in a number of fashions.

Previously, Conrad was Senior Vice President for Technical Operations for Broadbus Technologies.  Broadbus built a market leading solid state video server.  The video server is widely deployed throughout the cable and telco markets.  Conrad led engineering and manufacturing for Broadbus, and interfaced with many of the company's key partners and customers. In 2006, Broadbus was acquired by Motorola.  Conrad led the engineering organization for 18 months after the acquisition until he joined Charles River Ventures.  Previously, Conrad served as Vice President of Engineering for Gotham Networks, Vice President of Engineering Lucent Softswitch, Director of Hardware Engineering for Stratus Computer.

Conrad has a BS in physics from the College of William and Mary, and performed graduate studies at the School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Virginia.  Conrad lives in Northborough Massachusetts with his wife and 3 children.
