David Haigh Bio

Cable Pioneer David Haigh is lead engineer at Midcontinent Communications. Prior to joining Midcontinent in 2000, he was part of the team at Optus (now part of the SingTel Group) in Australia responsible for building one of the largest HFC systems in the world at the time. Haigh was recipient of the SCTE 2008 Young Engineer of the Year Award. Based in Sioux Falls, SD, Midcontinent serves more than 200 communities in western Minnesota and North and South Dakota. The company is a partnership between Midcontinent Media and Comcast.
