Cholesterol Be Damned, Savor This Bacon

Let me be brief.

I don’t like to repeat what we’ve already mentioned in CableFAX Daily or spoken about on the CableFAX Show, but HBO’s original film Taking Chance, which premieres Sat at 8pm and of course runs throughout the next few weeks, is a gem not to be missed.

While there are one or two minor flaws in the piece, this is about as close to perfect movie making as you can get.

Kevin Bacon, far from my favorite actor, delivers an excellent performance, as a senior Marine who escorts a fallen soldier home.

Yes, it’s a process film (but what a process), and it’s about Iraq. Even more, you know the ending. Still, trust me, this film will touch nearly everyone who sees it, and will teach most of them, too.
