CableFAX 100 Luncheon—Q&A With Wells Fargo's Marci Ryvicker

Just added to Thursday’s CableFAX 100 lunch is a Q&A with Wells Fargo Securities’ Marci Ryvicker. There’s plenty to grill the well-known analyst on, particularly with the recently announced sale of Spectrum Co.

On Monday, she upgraded Time Warner Cable to “outperform” and downgraded Cablevision to “market perform,” saying the firm sees potential for “significant operational upside” for those companies involved (Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Bright House). “While there are still some hurdles for this deal to close—specifically approval by the FCC and DOJ—we would say the overall odds of closing are pretty high given this sale would ensure the 122 AWS spectrum licenses would be put to their ‘most efficient use’…” Ryvicker said in a note to clients.

Speaking of Time Warner Cable, TWC CEO Glenn Britt will be sitting down for a Q&A on Thurs as well. He also will have plenty of questions to answer about the newly formed joint venture with Verizon Wireless.

On Friday, Fox Business anchor Liz Claman will help us recognize the top Women in Cable at our Most Powerful Women in Cable breakfast. A panel, featuring Bright House’s Nomi Bergman, Mediacom’s Italia Commisso Weinand, Time Warner Cable’s Joan Gillman and Communications Matters’ Carol Vernon, will help break down how top leaders do it all.

Register HERE for the Dec. 8 CableFAX 100 luncheon at the Grand Hyatt NYC! We will also celebrate our Top 10 places to work. And reg HERE for the Dec. 9 Most Powerful Women in Cable event!
