CableFAX's Spring Cable Connection Issue 2010
A concern when attending The Cable Show is how to spend one’s time wisely. With the advent of Spring Connection Week and its additional events, plus the charms of LA — recently called by philanthropist Eli Broad one of the 4 cultural capitals of the world — that concern has been raised a notch.
That’s why we’ve organized this magazine as a briefing for you about important aspects of SC Week. In that respect, it’s like CableFAX Daily.
You’ll find coverage of hot topics like 3D, regulation and TV Everywhere. There’s also a story about data and advertising, geared to CTAM attendees. Speaking of CTAM, on Fri, May 14, at 6:30 am, it’s hosting an open yoga session (mats will be provided).
Paul Maxwell joins us to pick panels and events we don’t want you to miss. We chat with the Hall of Fame class (one reminisces about cable’s early days, selling product door-to-door with a go-getter by the name of Matt Blank; young Blank did so well he’s The Show’s co-chair, with Glenn Britt; incidentally, we interview Messrs. Blank and Britt.) There’s coverage of women and diversity and the Vanguards.
We’ve also included our Spring-Summer Program Guide.
