Why Them? Think about all the calamities that could have come out of D.C. this year—national franchising, net-neutrality rules, a la carte—and then thank your lobbyists for helping to make sure they didn't happen. These 3 are among the most powerful, and they continue to beat the government back despite its best efforts to get involved in the cable biz. We’re guessing that with the Democrats taking over Congress in a few short weeks, the industry will need its beloved lobbyists even more in ’07. - MG
