69. Time Warner Shuffle

Lynne Costantini

Title: SVP/Chief Business Affairs Officer, Time Warner Cable

Melinda Witmer
Title: SVP/Chief Programming Officer, Time Warner Cable
Age: 45
Years in Industry: 12

Why Them? Oh, what a year these 2 upwardly mobile Time Warner Cable execs are having. When Fred Dressler decided to retire, the MSO's top programming job went into play. But in a strange twist, Melinda Witmer ended up taking the reigns despite Lynne Costantini’s stronger programming background (Witmer left Time Warner's legal dept only last summer to become svp, programming). But no worries for Costantini: She snagged the newly created position of chief business affairs officer and stands to wield considerable power in her own right. The bottom line is that Dressler’s exit has catapulted Costantini and Witmer to new levels of influence. - MG
