Genband, Samsung Team For Enterprise Mobility
By integrating Samsung Mobile’s SAFE (Samsung for Enterprise)-designated devices with GENBAND’s SMART OFFICE mobile unified-communications (UC) app, the partners say they can deliver voice, data, video communications and collaboration capabilities on Samsung SAFE devices to mobile-enable the enterprise market. GENBAND plans to offer Samsung Mobile devices through its service providers and large systems-integrator partners.  

Small-Cell Combo Allows For Mobile Enterprise UC
Small-cell Enterprise RAN systems developer SpiderCloud Wireless Inc. and Tango Networks are helping wireless carriers deliver mobile UC services and advanced PBX functionality over scalable, enterprise-class, small-cell networks. SpiderCloud’s enterprise-installed Services Node supports “soft handover” between radio nodes, helping to ensure voice calls and data sessions aren’t dropped as people move within a building. When combined with Tango’s Small Cell Connect, the solution gives enterprises the ability to extend their mobile UC services and applications, and PBX functionality from their IP telephony network through their small cells, allowing staffers to use their mobile phones just like desk phones.
