Exec Leadership Program Features Women-Only Events

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth have released the roster of events – including several events targeting women in cable engineering – for the SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program at Dartmouth College April 29-May 4 in Hanover, N.H..

On May 2, a “fireside chat” panel featuring Nomi Bergman, president of Bright House Communications; Yvette Kanouff, president of SeaChange International; and Charlotte Field, senior vice president, infrastructure and operations, national engineering and technical operations for Comcast, will focus on ways to help women maximize opportunities in the cable industry. Following a dinner for all participants in the SCTE-Tuck program, there will be a networking reception for women attendees.

On May 4, women attendees will have a private luncheon and Q&A session with Marshall Goldsmith, a member of the faculty for the SCTE-Tuck program and author of Mojo and What Got You Here, Won’t Get You There.

“The shortage of women engineers is depriving our industry of a significant pool of talent, just at the time when demand for new services and expertise is increasing,” says Cathy Oakes, senior vice president/Operations at SCTE. “The inclusion of diversity programs within our SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program as well as at our Cable Industry Management Development Program with Georgia Tech later in May is designed to provide women and others with the support they need to choose and thrive in cable engineering careers.”

Applications now being accepted for the SCTE-Tuck program, open to all qualified executives in the United States and abroad (click here for more information). The deadline is Feb. 15
