Sandvine Releases Web Traffic Report
Sandvine is releasing an analysis of traffic trends from leading North-American broadband networks. Tom Donnelly, Sandvine co-founder and EVP, will be available to discuss the report findings. The report's findings indicate that P2P file sharing accounts for 44 percent of all Internet traffic - up 4 percent from last year; P2P file sharing dominates upstream traffic, using 75 percent of available upstream bandwidth; and Web browsing grows to 31.6 percent of downstream traffic - attributed to the popularity of high-traffic sites such as Facebook and MySpace.
