Gantt Garners SCTE Standards Award

Kevin M. Gantt, product engineer for CommScope in the company's Digital Broadband Division in Catawba, N.C., is the 2008 recipient of the SCTE Excellence in Standards Award. Gantt has been an active participant since 1992 in the SCTE Interface Practices and In-Home Cabling Subcommittee (IPS), whose charter is to develop standards for the cables, connectors, and housings used in broadband telecommunications distribution plant.

The annual SCTE Excellence in Standards Award was created to honor an SCTE Standards Program participant who has significantly contributed to both the technical standards program and the spirit of cooperation necessary for the success of voluntary standards. SCTE is an American National Standards Institute-accredited standards development organization.
