Zhone Names SVP of Engineering

Zhone Technologies has named industry veteran Bruce Roe to lead Zhone's global engineering force. Immediately preceding his appointment at Zhone, Roe was vice president of research and development for Wave 7 Optics, a company he joined when it was still an early stage startup. There, he led R&D of the company's FTTP and standard-based GPON products, as well as its highly successful point-to-multi-point Ethernet optical product suite. Prior to his tenure at Wave 7 Optics, Roe held executive leadership roles with Nortel Networks.
