Cablevision Names Two Execs to Wi-Fi Team

Cablevision Systems has added two key executives and Wi-Fi pioneers to its wireless broadband product division, Optimum Wi-Fi. Tim Farrell has been named vice president, wireless product development, and Craig Plunkett has been named vice president, wireless market development.

Both joined Cablevision within the last month and report to Kevin Curran, senior vice president, Wi-Fi product development. Cablevision recently announced completion of the initial phase of its Optimum Wi-Fi deployment, which offers fast wireless Internet service in the commercial and high-traffic areas of the company's New York metropolitan service area as a free value-added enhancement for Optimum Online high-speed Internet customers.
