Tandberg to Highlight End-to-End IP Video Solution at IBC
Tandberg Television will be unveiling an end-to-end headend and distribution solution for next-generation digital terrestrial television (DTT) at IBC 2008. The architecture is designed to use IP video from encoder to transmitter site. The company is demonstrating its latest generation MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC encoding for SD and HDTV, IP statistical multiplexing and IP streaming as part of its iSIS 8000 IP head-end solution for DTT. The company will show how DVB-T, DVB-T2 and DVB-H video streams can be processed in the same headend, and highlight IP transport for all current and future over-the-air broadcast services. Tandberg Television receiver/decoders, transport stream processing, nCompass management system, and Ericsson point-to-point microwave products complete the DTT offering.
