CableLabs Taps ThisTech for VOD Metadata

This Technology LLC and CableLabs have announced that ThisTech has licensed its MetaMore software platform for use by CableLabs' Metadata project. CableLabs has named ThisTech's platform for demonstrating interoperability among CableLabs VOD Metadata 1.1 and 2.0 specifications compliant systems.

Specifically, MetaMore will be the reference and first implementation for translation between CableLabs VOD Metadata 1.1 and 2.0 specifications. The MetaMore real-time metadata management solution conforms to CableLabs VOD Metadata 1.1, 2.0 specifications, and conforms to SCTE-130 specifications.

The CableLabs Metadata project defines critical business data about VOD distribution, presentation, and multiplatform streaming.
