Huawei Routers Pass IPv6 Muster

Huawei’s SingleMetro series router NE40E and ME60 have wrapped IPv6 transition tests, including Dual Stack (DS) and DS-Lite tests.

During tests organized by the European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC), Huawei says its IPv6 solution “successfully demonstrated multi-vendor interoperability. Huawei was the only vendor to demonstrate the IPv6 DS-Lite transition solution and the industry-leading Port Control Protocol (PCP) technology.”

In separate but related Huawei news, the company sold its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) radio access network (RAN) equipment to Bell Mobility to expand the recently launched Bell LTE wireless network across Canada. 


The Bell LTE wireless network allows customers to stream high-def television and movies, video chat, and download apps and large attachments “at least three times faster than with HSPA+ network technology introduced just over two years ago, which now serves more than 96 percent of Canadians,” Bell Mobility says.
