Uptake of Hybrid Set-Tops Continues
IMS Research’s forthcoming 2010 study "The World Market for Set-top Boxes and iDTVs" has revealed that hybrid set-top boxes are becoming more prevalent than a year ago in the marketplace.
The study found that continued growth is being driven by operators' initiatives to increase ARPUs through additional services including push-VOD services, progressive download services and access to Web content. IMS Research expects the trend to experience strong uptake through 2013.
