Qwest Launches Metro Ethernet in the Dakotas

Qwest Communications has launched its Qwest Metro Optical Ethernet (QMOE) service in Sioux Falls, SD, and Bismarck, ND. The service is designed for businesses to send and receive large-bandwidth and time-sensitive data across multiple locations. QMOE combines Ethernet and optical technologies across metropolitan area networks and is designed to provide scalable, secure bandwidth at a low relative cost. More than 20 network speeds are available, ranging from 5 Mbps to 1 Gbps, as well as an optical Ethernet transport system.
