Scopus Gears Up for DTV Transition

Scopus is releasing the IRP-3910, a multichannel decoder/downconverter unit specifically designed to address the transition from analog to digital ATSC broadcast TV. The Scopus IRP offers various configurations to allow cable operators to receive, process, multiplex, decode, and perform HD down-conversion of off-air ATSC broadcasts. Its 1-RU form factor provides up to four channels of HD decoding along with dynamic aspect ratio conversion. It also incorporates a multiplexing core that enables grooming and PSIP aggregation of multiple HD and SD programs for digital content distribution. A variety of inputs (8-VSB, ASI, IP) and outputs (baseband video, ASI, IP) are available. (Expo booth 434)
