Cox Secures with Crossbeam

CrossBeam Systems announced that Cox Communications has deployed CrossBeam’s X-Series security platform to protect its network infrastructure.

Cox Manager of Network and Security Engineering Allen Sauter commended CrossBeam’s bladed architecture. “(It) enables us to quickly scale our security services so that we can seamlessly add another firewall and have it up and running within minutes if required,” Sauter said in a statement.

The X-Series platform, tested to wireline speeds of 40 Gbps, enables customers to deploy best-of-breed security applications over a single chassis. Sauter stated that the X-Series was "hands-down the best performer…with more than double the throughput rates of its closest competitor."
