Prysmian Launches Bend Insensitive Fiber

Prysmian's latest bend optimized fiber is the CasaLight Xtreme. It exceeds the specifications of ITU G.657 A and B and is targeted at FTTH applications, where extreme bending radii are unavoidable. It is designed to tolerate 90-degree bending radii down to 5 mm and to withstand sharp 90 degree bends under tension and installation with staple guns when used in Prysmian specialty MDU cables. It maintains full compatibility with standard equipment, connectors and fiber already installed in accordance with ITU Recommendation G.652.
