1. The Sopranos, "Pine Barrens" episode, HBO On Demand: The best episode Samuel Beckett ever wrote for David Chase.
2. Red Holzman documentary tribute, MSG: The Knicks were once the Beatles of basketball, and it was because of Red's insistence on team play.
3. Verminators, "Rookie Mistakes" episode, Discovery Channel: We actually didn't watch this because we're afraid of bedbugs. But just running an episode about bedbugs is enough for us to include it in this list.
4. Coffy, IFC: When is the U.S. Postal Service going to produce a Pam Grier stamp, that's what we want to know.
5. What Not to Wear (any episode), TLC: For a show that's ostensibly about surface values, it usually gets to the heart of how people really feel about themselves (lousy).
