Card Talk - Bill Introduced to Eliminate Set-Top Integration Ban
First, the Hill gives some serious attention to retransmission consent. Now, 2 members have heard cable’s age-old complaints about the set-top integration ban. The bill, introduced Thurs by Reps Bob Latta (R-OH) and Gene Green (D-TX), would do away with FCC rules that require boxes deployed after July 1, ’07 to feature separable security (generally a CableCARD).
