Israel’s ECI Telecom today introduced its family of Native Packet Transport (NPT) platforms that address operator challenges when migrating to or building new packet transport networks (PTN). The card uses an advanced on-board multicore processor to support as many as 32,500 GTP PDP contexts per card; it also supports GTP-U termination, bypass and relay.
