More Info On SCTE’s SEMI Forum

Mark Coblitz, senior vice president/Strategic Planning, at Comcast, will keynote the upcoming SCTE SEMI (Smart Energy Management Initiative) Forum 2012, set for March 15 in Philadelphia (click here for more information).

Coblitz will discuss the need for cable system operators, programmers, vendors and others to work together to adopt and deploy comprehensive energy-management strategies. Coblitz also is expected to address the role energy decisions will play in optimizing the industry’s development and deployment of new, revenue-generating services.

“The value of energy management goes far beyond the public relations and financial benefits of ‘green’ solutions,” Coblitz says.  “Increasingly, cable needs to adopt strategic approaches that include the efficiency, availability and reliability of power, so that new services can be deployed when and where they are required.”
