Why Him? Bill Bresnan was there at cable's beginning, and we think he’ll be around for years to come because of his continued passion, energy and unmatched love of this industry. His amazing tenure as chairman of The Cable Center for more than a decade—a run that will end when he steps down this year—leaves the Center in excellent shape with a new 5-year strategic plan. Bresnan is also spearheading the Center’s Chairman’s Endowment Campaign, which has helped put the institution into a more assertive and well-organized fundraising mode. Not only that, but he has served on the board of NCTA, C-SPAN, CableLabs and countless other industry groups. Bresnan has also worked for diversity, sitting on the board of the Emma Bowen Foundation as well as being an honorary lifetime member of WICT. Here’s to Bill and all he’s done. And all he will do in the future.
